December 14 – Appreciate What’s the one thing you have come to appreciate most in the past year? How do you express gratitude for it? (Author: Victoria Klein)

I appreciate learning how and why to practice self care the most. This simple lesson was the most difficult for me. I express gratitude by keeping up with it every day.  21 days to a new habit, right?

  • decaffeinating (down to one 3/4 caff cup)
  • using old peoples’ toothpaste and mouth wash every night (restorative)
  • wrinkle prevention skin care regime
  • oatmeal for breakfast everyday
  • beans everyday for lunch or dinner
  • fruits and vegetables
  • limit sugar (only when someone offers me something home made)
  • hydration
  • exercise
  • yoga
  • friends

Still working on fitting in:

  • flossing (ugh, so hard)
  • pedicures
  • massage
  • more reading/less computer
  • sleeping through the night

How’s that for a navel gazing, self-indulgent post?
